And My Country Is.....

FINLAND!!!  I got my country notification tonight! I'm so excited! In 5 months I will be heading to Finland, and I'm honestly so grateful for this opportunity! I want to thank my sponsor club; the Yorktown Rotary Club and everyone in my district who helped me!

One Year Blogversary!

One year ago today, I started my blog! A whole year has gone by and many many things have happened and changed and even I see that myself has changed.

Well the whole reason I started this blog was because I was chosen as a semi-finalist with CBYX. I can be very superstious, and I was very hesiteant about making a blog because I was fearful that if I made a blog I would not become a finalist. I saw other people who started a blog before they were chosen as a finalist and it didn't bite them in their butt so, I did. Though I wasn't chosen as a finalist, I'm glad I made this blog. I re-read my excitement of getting the email, anticapating interview, the excitment of interview, anticaption of finalist notification, and the heartbreak I recieved from my rejection email. I truly felt the world had ended but, it didn't I'm still here and kickin.

Now I going abroad with Rotary like my intentional plans, I'm happy with my life.

As of right now my blog has 1,541 views! In only one year that many people have seen my blog, it's kinda crazy!

I am beyond excited with what this year has to offer. 

One year down, a billion more to go :)

I am offically an outbound!

I had my interview today and I am glad to say I am officially an outbound with Rotary!!!! Ahh, I'm so excited!!!

I've already started a Gofundme fundraiser, to fund raise the money for me to be able to go! This is the next challenge I face. I hope with this fundraiser and me asking local businesses and saving the money from work, I should have enough! Every dollar counts! If you can donate please please do! SPONSORED BABY!

So like 2-3 weeks back I received an email from the rotary club saying they will sponsor me!! So on Thursday I have my district interview with my YEO, and I'm pretty confident I'll be fine. I'm going to be starting a fundraiser on GoFundme soon, so I can pay for my exchange. I'm going to update after my district interview on Thursday!

In other news I turned 17 on the 10th!! I can't believe in less then a year I'll be 18... I'll be an adult and that's kinda a scary. 

Well until this weekend!

End of 2014!

2014 has been a quite a year, to say the least. It's been an emotional rollercoaster but I'm not complaning. I believe 2015 will be 100 times better!

So some great news..

The Yorktown Rotary Club are willing to sponsor me, I have an interview with them coming up but everything will go fine! I'm very excited! I should know this month on what country I will receive :)

This month, I found out that two exchange students will be coming to Bethel; one girl from Ukraine and one from France! The girl from the Ukraine her name is Kira and she started right before break. The girl from France her name is Elody and she will be starting soon after break. I'm overjoyed that we will finally have exchange students at Bethel, because exchange students are the best people to be friends with!

There's not much that happened this month that's worth blogging about, but the next two months will have lots going on so I will have lots to write about then!

I will be blogging at the end of each month giving a recap of that month!

Long Time, No See

Since the last time I updated some things have gone on like:

• The club was unable to sponsor me
• I got my first job!
• I sumbitted my CBYX application
• I'm working on my YES application

So to start off with the first one. The Virginia Peninsula Rotary Club was unable to sponsor me due to the facts that they didn't have enough support for host families and the main person who handle exchanges and was experience with it, she did not return to Rotary this year so it just wasn't going to work. BUT luckily my district has an amazing YEO shout out to Mr. Lee Muckey! He's been trying for the past month to find a club who will sponsor me!

The next thing.... I GOT MY FIRST JOB! Yayy! I work at Chuck E Cheese as a birthday hostess, I started Monday which was 3 days ago! I'm so happy!

I know I said I wasn't going to apply to CBYX or Yes because I wanted to go through Rotary. Well I wanted to make sure I have something just in case Rotary doesn't work out. So I submitted my application in the beginning of November and now I'm just waiting for semi notification February 6^th. My YES application is in the works! I hope to get it done sometime next month.

I want to talk about a lot more but it Thanksgiving and currently to lazy bahaha.
